Do What You Love...YES!

I created this piece a few days before this website was born.  For several years I have teetered back and forth, a pendulum of indecision.  Did I want to do something with my art?  My writing?  Was I content just to be a stay at home mom and homeschooler?  Minus the expectations of others...and the opinions of others set aside, what was it I really wanted to do for myself?  What would make me happy?  What type of work would make me feel excited to get out of bed each morning?

I think we all have these questions.  We worry about working at jobs that make us unhappy, or at the least are unfulfilling.  We fear that we are not doing what it is we love.  It is an edgy, dark feeling that we are literally wasting our lives, wasting away amidst the mundane.  Day in and day out, we watch the clock tick by, perpetual and oblivious to our personal dilemma...how can I be happy?

The answer came to me simply:  do what you love!  Love what you do.  Even if that restless job is your financial mainstay in life (right now anyway), find some time in everyday to do things that make you happy.  Things you love doing.  Things that bring a smile to your face.  Set aside a few minutes each day and do what you love!

No matter what that thing is that you love....from basket weaving to fruit canning to painting or crosswords or just whatever...it makes you happy, so you should make sure you find the time to do it!  Even if it's not something financially viable.  Even if it's not something for which you can utilize that graduate degree.  The question here isn't 'is this beneficial to so-and-so, does this make sense?'  The question is ' this makes my light shine, so how can I put more of what I love into my life?'  Find a way, and do that...for you!

I will leave you with a few quotes to grow on:
