Low-Fat Strawberry Banana Smoothie
If you are anything like me, you love sweets! I particularly find myself craving something surgery late in the evening. However, this quick recipe works great for any time of the day. I sometimes use it for breakfast, other times as a quick pick-me-up for when I don't have time for a full lunch. I am talking about a delicious and nutritious low-fat strawberry banana smoothie recipe!
INGREDIENTS
-1 cup of frozen strawberries
-1 fresh banana
-1 fresh banana
-1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
-half a cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt
-1 tablespoon of honey
-A handful of ice cubes (about 6 cubes)
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. If the smoothie is too thick for your liking, you can add more almond milk until it reaches the desired consistency.
Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy immediately! For a little extra razzle dazzle, top it off with low-fat whip cream and a few slices of strawberry.
If you have any leftovers, you can store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
This low-fat, low-sugar snack will be sure to hit your sweet spot. Kids will love it too!
