New Opportunities

The year cracks open like an egg, all gold yolk possibility

spilling across the kitchen table of my wanting.

I could be anything—poet with ink-stained fingers,

witch who speaks to winter stars, woman who photographs

dolls until they confess their secret lives.

The hours stretch long and mine, a ribbon I can tie

around whatever matters: silence, creation, the slow work

of becoming someone I recognize in mirrors.

Opportunity doesn't knock—it simply waits

for me to open the door I've been standing behind.

I created this artwork with a tutorial found HERE.  The tutorial is originally written by Kitty's Psp Designs (which is now closed).

I used most of the tubes from the tutorial.
