Winter 2025

 

Winter pulls the blanket tight across November's throat,

and I am learning how to love the cold—

how frost makes lace of every broken thing,

how silence sounds like snow remembering to fall.

The moon hangs low, a silver coin I'll never spend,

and I am rich with all this beautiful disappearing.
