The pursuit of happiness is a fundamental human goal, yet achieving lasting well-being can be challenging. Fortunately, psychological research offers insights into the factors that contribute to happiness and provides strategies for enhancing it. Today I want to share with you my ten favorite happiness hacks.  Regularly practicing these ten hacks will help you cultivate a more joyful and fulfilling life.



1)  Decide to be Happy: Choosing to focus on the positive aspects of your life and actively engaging in behaviors that promote well-being can increase overall happiness. By taking personal responsibility for your happiness, you empower yourself to make changes and adopt habits that support a more content life.

2)  Be Okay with People Not Liking You: Accepting that not everyone will like you and prioritizing your self-worth over others' opinions can lead to greater happiness and resilience. Remember that pleasing everyone is an impossible task, so focus on cultivating healthy relationships with those who appreciate and support you.  Learn to love you and it will matter a lot less to you who doesn't!

3)  Have a Sense of Meaning: Developing a sense of meaning and purpose in life contributes to greater happiness and fulfillment. Engage in activities that align with your values, passions, and goals to foster a deeper sense of purpose.  Find hobbies, activities, missions and goals that align with the person you are and who you dream of being.

4)  Stop Thinking Something is Missing: Recognizing the abundance and completeness already present in your life can help shift your mindset from scarcity to gratitude. Practice gratitude by reflecting on the positive aspects of your life and expressing appreciation for what you have.  This is all about recognizing what you already have and appreciating it.

Limit your screen time and focus on real-life interactions to maintain a healthier outlook and improve well-being.  I always say that you see inside your social media feed is not everyday reality.  No one showcases their struggles, their boredom, their disappointments.  Ground yourself in the reality that exists outside screens.

7)  Practice Good Self-Care: Prioritizing self-care, such as healthy eating, exercise, and relaxation techniques, can enhance physical and mental health, leading to greater happiness and resilience.  It's much better to practice prevention than it is to treat a disease or illness.  Plus, when you body is healthier so will your mind be.

Create a cozy, organized, and aesthetically pleasing space that promotes relaxation and happiness. Clean up after yourself.  Keep things neat and tidy and presentable...you will be much happier surrounded by a neat, pretty living space.

9)  Look for the Good: Optimistic thinking can protect against stress and improve coping skills. Practice positive reframing by looking for the silver lining in challenging situations and maintaining a hopeful perspective.  Expect good things to happen.  Expect good outcomes.  Search for the positive, the light at the end of the tunnel, the possibility.

10)  Treat Yourself: Regularly treating yourself to enjoyable experiences or small indulgences can boost happiness and motivation. Balance self-discipline with self-compassion to create a healthier and more satisfying life.  I love to pamper myself with good skin care routines (morning and night) bubble bathes and self massage.  Love yourself, take care of yourself!
