About Me & This Website

Welcome to Creative Abundance

Helping people cultivate a more intentional, creative, and meaningful life through reflective writing, expressive art, evidence-informed psychological principles, and the quiet practice of becoming more fully themselves.

Welcome.

I'm genuinely glad you're here.

Creative Abundance was born from a simple belief: that every person carries within them an innate capacity for growth, creativity, resilience, and change. Sometimes that capacity simply needs space, gentle guidance, and permission to emerge.

This website is my attempt to create that space.

It is part artist's studio, part library, part journal, part classroom, and part quiet corner of the internet where creativity and personal growth meet.

Here you'll find thoughtful articles, reflective essays, poetry, original artwork, printable resources, self-directed eCourses, planners, journals, and creative exercises—all designed to encourage deeper self-awareness and a more intentional way of living.

More than anything, I hope Creative Abundance feels like a place where you can slow down, breathe a little deeper, and reconnect with yourself.

My Philosophy

I've never believed that meaningful change begins because someone else gives us all the answers.

I believe it begins when we start asking ourselves better questions.

Throughout life we collect expectations, fears, disappointments, successes, stories, habits, and beliefs about who we are supposed to become.

Some of those stories serve us.

Many do not.

Creativity has a remarkable way of helping us explore those stories.

Sometimes an image says what words cannot.

Sometimes a journal page reveals something we've been carrying for years without realizing it.

Sometimes a simple creative exercise becomes the beginning of an entirely new chapter.

That is the heart of everything I create.

Not perfect artwork.

Not productivity.

Not performance.

But honest exploration.

Because I believe that understanding ourselves more deeply allows us to live more intentionally—and that a meaningful life is built one thoughtful choice at a time.

What You'll Find Here

Creative Abundance continues to grow and evolve, but everything here is connected by a common purpose: helping you build a richer creative life and a deeper relationship with yourself.

You'll discover:

Original Artwork

Digital paintings, mixed-media compositions, printable artwork, photography, visual storytelling, and seasonal creative collections created in my own artistic style.

Art Journaling

Creative prompts, finished journal pages, tutorials, and reflections exploring how creativity can become a meaningful practice of self-expression.

Some journal pages feature my own original artwork, while others celebrate the beautiful work of fellow artists whose supplies inspire my creative process. Whenever another artist's materials are used, full credit is always provided.

Thoughtfully designed learning experiences that integrate expressive art journaling, reflective writing, creative practice, and evidence-informed psychological concepts to support personal growth and self-discovery.

These are educational experiences designed to help you explore yourself through creativity, reflection, and intentional practice—all at your own pace.

Planners & Printables

Beautifully designed planner pages, life binders, creative journals, seasonal resources, worksheets, and printable materials created to help you organize not only your schedule, but your thoughts, dreams, and personal growth.

Creative Resources

An expanding collection of printable artwork, creative tools, journaling elements, and visual resources designed to inspire your own artistic practice.

Books, Poetry & Slow Living

I also share many of the things that inspire my own life—books I'm reading, poetry I love, quiet rituals, favorite recipes, seasonal reflections, and glimpses into the slower, more intentional lifestyle I continue to cultivate.

Creative Abundance has never been just a blog.

It's a reflection of the life I'm trying to live.

Why Creativity?

People often think creativity is about making beautiful things.

I think it's about paying attention.

When we create, we slow down.

We notice.

We begin asking questions instead of rushing toward answers.

A journal page becomes more than paper.

A poem becomes more than words.

A collage becomes more than images.

They become conversations with ourselves.

Throughout my own life, creative expression has been one of the most meaningful tools for reflection, resilience, and personal growth.

Writing.

Poetry.

Art journaling.

Photography.

Painting.

Reading.

These practices have helped me understand myself more honestly, navigate difficult seasons, and continue growing into the person I hope to become.

That personal experience is one of the reasons I'm so passionate about sharing creative practices with others.

My Educational Background

My work is informed by both lived experience and formal academic study.

My educational background includes:

  • Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling
  • Bachelor of Arts in Human Services with an emphasis in Mental Health Counseling
  • Associate of Arts in Human Services
  • Post-graduate studies and certifications in Professional Counseling and Addiction Counseling

In addition to my formal education, I have spent many years studying positive psychology, expressive arts, narrative approaches, reflective writing, creativity, mindfulness, and human development.

These influences shape the educational content, reflective exercises, and creative experiences you'll find throughout this website.

What My Work Is—And What It Isn't

Creative Abundance is dedicated to education, creativity, and personal growth.

The self-directed eCourses, articles, journals, planners, and creative resources available here are designed to encourage thoughtful reflection, creative exploration, and intentional living.

They are informed by graduate-level education in mental health counseling and evidence-informed psychological concepts, but they are educational resources—not individualized counseling, psychotherapy, diagnosis, or mental health treatment.

My goal is never to tell you who you should become.

Instead, I hope to provide thoughtful tools, meaningful questions, and creative experiences that help you better understand yourself and create a life that reflects your own values.

Ultimately, you remain the expert on your own life.

Why I Continue Creating

People sometimes ask why I devote so much time to creating articles, artwork, journals, and educational resources.

The answer is simple.

Because I genuinely believe creativity changes lives.

Not because it solves every problem.

But because it teaches us to pay attention.

To notice beauty.

To reflect before reacting.

To ask better questions.

To reconnect with ourselves.

To imagine possibilities we hadn't considered before.

That kind of creativity doesn't end on the page.

It quietly changes the way we move through the world.

If something I create encourages someone to begin journaling again, pick up a paintbrush, read more poetry, spend time in nature, or simply become a little kinder to themselves, then I've accomplished exactly what I hoped to do.

A Little More About Me

Outside of creating educational resources, you'll usually find me doing one of a handful of things:

Reading books with a cup of coffee nearby.

Working on an art journal spread.

Designing planners and printable resources.

Writing poetry.

Photographing quiet moments.

Experimenting with new digital artwork.

Taking long walks.

Collecting ideas for future projects.

Or simply sitting with a notebook, wondering where the next creative journey might lead.

I believe inspiration lives in ordinary moments.

I've learned that a meaningful life isn't built from constant achievement.

It's built from paying attention to what matters.

Thank You for Being Here

Whether you arrived looking for creative inspiration, thoughtful articles, printable resources, guided self-development, or simply a quiet place to spend a little time, I'm grateful you found your way here.

Wonder more.

And perhaps most importantly...

Trust yourself a little more than you did yesterday.

Thank you for sharing part of your journey with me.

I hope Creative Abundance becomes a place you'll return to often.

Welcome.
