Something Wild...

Every Tuesday, I post an art prompt to spark a little bit of inspiration for your creativity. These posts are versatile and can be applied to a variety of creative mediums. Whether you enjoy digital art or acrylic painting (or anything in between like tags, mixed media, collage, etc), these fun prompts will help you generate ideas for a new project, or maybe add a fun spin to a current project.

For this week, we are going to use the idea of hidden magic as our inspiration.

The Prompt: Use the statement 'something wild is growing here' as inspiration for creating an art piece. What is growing — literally or symbolically? It could be a forgotten garden reclaiming an old stone wall, roots cracking through pavement, a girl with flowers blooming from her hair, or something entirely internal — a feeling, a secret, a becoming. Let your interpretation lead you. Make sure your artwork includes some element of organic growth (plants, roots, vines, spores, moss — whatever calls to you), and for a creative twist, try working with contrast: pair something delicate and living against something hard, dark, or unexpected.

This prompt is for any art medium or style.
