It Was Raining...

Every Tuesday, I post an art prompt to spark a little bit of inspiration for your creativity. These posts are versatile and can be applied to a variety of creative mediums. Whether you enjoy digital art or acrylic painting (or anything in between like tags, mixed media, collage, etc), these fun prompts will help you generate ideas for a new project, or maybe add a fun spin to a current project.

For this week, we are going to use the idea of interior weather as our inspiration.

The Prompt: Use the statement "it was raining inside the house" as inspiration for creating an art piece. What kind of weather has moved in, and what is it doing there? It could be rain falling gently onto a kitchen table, fog rolling down a hallway, a small storm cloud hovering over one chair in an empty room, snow settling on a made-up bed, or something more symbolic — sunlight pouring out of a person, wind moving through a room where every window is shut. Let your interpretation lead you. Make sure your artwork includes a weather element (rain, clouds, fog, snow, lightning, sunbeams — whatever calls to you) placed somewhere it doesn't belong, and for a creative twist, keep the setting completely ordinary: a real room, real furniture, real domestic details. The stranger the weather, the more the everyday should hold still around it.

This prompt is for any art medium or style.

My challenges and prompts are not interactive. You don't have to come back to link up. No comments are required, just your creativity!
