Cute & Easy Witch Costume

🌙 Cute & Easy Halloween Costume Idea — Pink Celestial Witch

Who says a witch costume has to be all black? For this one, I wanted something a little more girly, colorful and whimsical—a celestial witch dressed in black and hot pink with moons, stars, fluffy tulle and chunky boots.

The best part is that this is another costume you can put together from inexpensive individual pieces. You don't need an elaborate dress or professional costume makeup. Throw everything together, add a little pink eyeshadow and black eyeliner, and you're ready for Halloween!

🌙 Black & Pink Celestial Moon Graphic Tee — $15.59

This shirt couldn't be much more perfect for our costume. It's a black graphic tee featuring a crescent moon surrounded by pink and purple stars. Wear it slightly loose or tuck the bottom into the tutu. Unlike a traditional costume top, this is something you could easily wear again with jeans after Halloween.

💗 Black Tutu Skirt — $7.00

A fluffy tutu instantly turns a graphic tee into a costume. This inexpensive adult version has three layers of black tulle, an elastic waistband and a short, ruffled silhouette.

To get the pink-and-black look in my artwork, weave a few pieces of inexpensive hot-pink ribbon through the tulle or tie little pink bows around the waistband. It's an easy DIY touch that makes a plain $7 tutu look completely different.

⭐ Black Star Fishnet Tights — $9.99

These might be my favorite part of the costume! Instead of ordinary fishnets, these black tights have little stars scattered across them. They're stretchy, full-length and available in regular and plus sizes. The celestial pattern ties the moon shirt, jewelry and witch theme together.

🧙‍♀️ Black Witch Hat with Gold Stars — $3.99

At under $4, this is the little accessory that makes the whole outfit unmistakably witchy. It's a classic lightweight pointed black wizard hat decorated with gold stars.

Add a big hot-pink ribbon around the base—or attach one of your own bows—to recreate the cute pink-and-black hat from the fashion collage.

🥾 No Boundaries Black Lug-Sole Combat Boots — $31.98

A chunky pair of combat boots keeps all that fluffy pink tulle from looking too sweet. These have a lace-up front, side zipper, round toe and chunky lug sole.

They're the biggest expense in the outfit, but they're also real boots rather than costume shoes, so you can wear them with jeans, leggings and fall outfits long after Halloween is over.

🌙 Bright Night Moon & Star Necklace — $4.99

Add one little piece of celestial jewelry to finish the neckline. This inexpensive moon-and-star pendant fits the magical theme perfectly and can easily become everyday jewelry after Halloween.

💕 Pink & Black Beaded Bracelet — $3.00

A simple pink-and-black beaded bracelet adds another pop of color. You could wear one by itself or stack it with inexpensive black bracelets you already own to recreate the pile of bracelets shown in the artwork.

✨ Put the Whole Costume Together

Start with the celestial tee and fluffy tutu, then add the star tights and chunky combat boots. Put your hair into a messy bun or loose waves, add the pointed witch hat, and pile on your celestial necklace and bracelets.

For makeup, I'd keep the theme going with black eyeliner, lots of mascara, rosy cheeks, pink or berry lipstick and a little sparkly pink shadow around the eyes. You could even add a tiny star near the outer corner of one eye.

The result is a witch who's a little bit spooky, a little bit celestial and a whole lot girly. It's comfortable enough for a Halloween party, passing out candy or walking around with the kids—and most of the pieces can be worn again.

Approximate cost for all seven pieces: $76.54 before tax and shipping. 🌙⭐💗

And if you already own black combat boots, the pieces needed to create the rest of the costume come to only about $44.56!
